The return of changing rooms

It may only seem like yesterday to some of us since Changing Rooms originally hit our screens with Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen in his leather trousers and that ‘teapot incident’ with Linda Barker.  It was actually 25 years since the hit show hit our screens.

This week see’s the return of legendary home DIY series with a flesh lick of paint as it is sponsored by Dulux.  How much has the show changed we wonder? Well looking at the trailer it seems the show still has the same format of two sets of homeowners from the same neighbourhood working against the clock to renovate each other’s houses, they are in charge and anything goes – ekkkk!

They are of course guided by a number of talented interior designers so there is no doubt the transformations will be spectacular, even if not to everyone’s taste!  After so many months in lockdowns and starring at the same coloured walls the return of Changing Rooms is set to inspire a whole new generation to get creative with their homes and on a budget.

Will Laurence don those skimpy leather trousers again? Will we see some outrageous colour combinations? Will the rooms get finished in time? (I never believed the paint was dry in time, did you?!) And finally will you be watching?
