Brief –Create a fully functioning bathroom from a room with just a bath and sink, in this old Winchester property that had been modernised in a minimalist style.
Design – This Hampshire interior design project required all plumbing services to be moved and adapted to allow for the bath and sink to move positions and for a toilet to be added. All storage was hand built in oak veneer to provide bespoke storage and integrate the bath and the toilet. A wall was clad in oak veneer and routed to give the impression of oak wood panels. Under floor heating was fitted under the large grey floor tiles to add warmth in addition to the towel rail. The white bathroom fixtures were coupled with modern chrome brassware and framed by grey and white mosaic tiles. Glass bricks were added to the doorway to allow light into the dark landing whilst giving the bathroom a unique light feature. No space went unused even the recess at the head of the bath had floating shelves added. Two custom made mirrors were added to reflect the light in the room and create the illusion of the small space being bigger than it was.
