Winchester Minimalist Bathroom

Maximising space with modern minimalism

Brief – The original room featured only a bath and sink, lacking both a toilet and practical storage. The clients wanted a fully functional bathroom that embraced a modern, minimalist aesthetic in keeping with their renovated Winchester home.

Design –I reconfigured the space in this Hampshire bathroom, relocating plumbing to accommodate a new toilet and reposition the bath and sink. Bespoke oak veneer cabinetry was designed to integrate storage while maintaining clean, minimalist lines. A wall clad in routed oak veneer panels added warmth and texture, while underfloor heating beneath large grey tiles provided comfort alongside a sleek towel rail. Floating shelves were added above the bath to utilise every inch of space. To maximise natural light, glass bricks were installed by the doorway, brightening the dark landing and doubling as a stylish feature. Two custom-made mirrors reflect light, creating an airy, more spacious feel.

The finished bathroom is a functional, serene retreat where thoughtful storage solutions and modern design come together. Natural materials and clean lines harmonise with the home’s minimalist style, while every detail is designed to enhance light and space.
