Here are a few tips on how to freshen up for al fresco entertaining.
- Add a pergola or retractable awning. In this country you can never be sure when you might need to shelter from the rain, or maybe on a rare occasion so shade from the sun.
- Invest in a fire pit or patio heaters; that way you can spend more time outside when the sun goes down the temperature inevitably drops, as it does in this country!
- Create the ambience you want with wireless speakers. Some are designed to merge in with the landscape and can withstand the elements, or simple bring one from inside out with you and play your favourite tunes.
- Add some light with rows of string lights for sparkle and free-standing hurricane lamps with citronella candles to create a warm glow and keep the bugs away.
- Dress up your patio or decking with a patterned outdoor rug, adding texture and colour.
