It’s that time of year when Dulux announce their colour of the year and we can all start to put 2020 behind us, well in regards to home interiors at least.
The colour Dulux experts have chosen to decorate our home interiors is Brave Ground, a warm neutral that feels both comforting and grounding. It is not a shade that you would stand back and be wowed by, if anything it is understated, but this neutral hue pairs so beautifully with so many colour palettes it’s hard not to be inspired.
As Dulux explains, ‘Brave Ground flexes in tone depending on the time of day and setting. It’s a versatile shade that lets other colours shine.’
After the year we have all had Dulux’s trend forecast has found that we are all reassessing what matters in our lives and trying to find positive ways forward. We have all taken comfort from our homes that have turned into places we not just gather together but work, play, learn, sleep, relax and maybe even for some of us hide! As the uncertain times continue the warm and grounding tones of Brave Ground provide us with a solid and supportive foundation with the flex to adapt to our ever changing circumstances. The different pairing options this shade gives allows us to be brave and try new things and change our backdrops to meet those changing needs.
This neutral shade is quite different from last years Tranquil Dawn, a soft green, and steps in to replace the cooler shades of grey that have been popular for many years now. Trend predictions suggest that we will move towards decorating with more warming neutrals in the coming months.
Are you inspired by Brave Ground? Are you thinking of a new coat of paint but not sure if this shade will work for you? Loke Interiors’ paint schedule and colour scheme is just what you need.
