I love this time of year when the trend forecasts for colours are announced. So far only Dulux have revealed their forecast with hints from Pantone about their possible chosen colour.
The Dulux colour experts from around the world have shared their insights about the influences they believe will affect the way we live over the coming few years and come up with a colour that matched the mood of the moment.
With the natural world a hot topic on the global agenda and the ever increasing way that nature inspires us all, a theme was established, ‘Seeds of Wonder’. According to Dulux this is a phrase that encapsulates the transformative power of nature. The shade itself is Wild Wonder.
Wild Wonder is a glowing natural tone, connected to nature, that adds natural magic to a home. It is a positive, glowing tone, inspired by the natural world, a blend of warm neutral and green. In addition to the colour Dulux have created four colour palettes to tell the story of how nature can inspire: Lush, Buzz, Raw and Flow.
Design experts believe the colour will bring softness to a kitchen, add joy to a family room and create a welcoming bedroom.
As for Pantone, they have yet to reveal their colour forecast but predications are for digital lavender, not hugely different from last years Very Peri. We will have to wait a little bit longer to hear their announcement so watch this space…
