Colour Series – Blush Pink

This month I’m focusing on the delicious shade of pink, Blush Pink, and suggesting how you can use the colour in your home.

This shade of pink is ‘grown-up’ and a calm and comforting colour to decorate your room in.  It is a colour that works well in small amounts so try pairing with another colour rather than using on all four walls of a room.

When considering what to pair with this gentle colour, think about what occurs naturally with this colour in nature, such as greens and browns.  Combining pink with an emerald green gives dramatic impact while coupling with tan creates cosiness and warmth.  Adding grey gives a feeling of sophistication.

Pink also works well in modern industrial style when used against rugged materials such as concrete, marble and metal accents.

If you pair darker colours with this feminine aesthetic the more bohemian the room will feel with chic contrast.

It really is such an underrated colour which you can be as bold or understated as you like with.

If you fancy experimenting with this colour try my best picks; Confetti intelligent matt emulsion from Little Green, Pink Perfection premium blend v700 from Valspar or Pashmina matt emulsion from Crown.

Let me know how you get on or if you think you need a little more guidance check out Loke Interiors package 3.
